A-I-M for the Heart: Cardiovascular
& Lipid Management
Project Overview
The Dallas-Fort Worth Business Group on Health began a
pilot project with American Airlines and its employees in February 2004.
The project proposes to coordinate and implement a comprehensive worksite
cardiac disease (CD) education and management program. The purpose of
this project is to demonstrate the effectiveness of a multifaceted worksite
disease management strategy for controlling employers' CD-related health
care costs and improving worker productivity. The program will continue
through August 2004.
Project Support
This demonstration project is supported by an unrestricted
educational grant from Merck
& Co., Inc.
Monthly session topics come from staff at Cooper
Aerobics Center.
